Confirmed result
Carolina beat Winnipeg 3-2 on October 17 for a seventh consecutive victory, opening a five-game road trip.
The turning point
Field Level Media described Jesperi Kotkaniemi's second-period equalizer and Nikolaj Ehlers' third-period power-play winner. NHL's report confirmed that Mark Jankowski also scored, extending his personal goal streak to six games.
Editor's perspective
A one-goal game is a useful test of decision-making, not merely momentum. Limiting risky turnovers while retaining the ability to exit the zone matters when protecting a lead. Those details can make the coming road games more informative to watch than the streak count alone.
