Confirmed result
Tampa Bay defeated Cleveland 7-3 on October 17, tying the ALCS at two games each. Nick Martinez worked 5 1/3 innings for his first postseason victory.
What changed
The Associated Press reported that Jonathan Aranda's seventh-inning single and an outfield misplay brought home two runs. Following the rain postponement, Game 5 remained in Cleveland before the series returned to Florida without a travel off day. Check MLB for subsequent scheduling changes.
Editor's perspective
Bullpen availability and clean defensive execution deserve attention in a compressed series. An extra base can change the timing of a pitching decision. That is a useful viewing lens, not a prediction about which club will advance.
